For the third year in a row, Franz Collection was awarded the "Award of Excellence for Handicrafts" conferred by UNESCO, this time for the "Rain Forest Little Dwellers" collection.

The collection, designed by Mr. Kuang-Yuh Lee, impressed the International 2008 Panel of Experts with its excellence in production, cultural authenticity, innovative features, and potential for the world market.

"Rain Forest Little Dwellers" exemplifies the humanistic spirit of caring for the ecosystem, respecting the heaven and cherishing our resources. The little dwellers of the rain forest characterizes not only the mystery and luster of the virgin rain forest, they also sing the praises of life. They are ambassadors of the Earth, calling on the awareness of human beings to treasure natural resources, protect the environment and leave our offsprings a clean world of healthy ecology.

The collection also bear testament to FRANZ Collection's endeavour of creating cultural value with green technology applications. The company focuses on developing green technology and complying with environment protection standards in respect of raw materials, packaging and fuels, such as taking advantage of glaze formulae of toxic-free compounds that comply with U.S. FDA requirements and replacing high-polluting heavy oil with clean electric furnaces and natural gas.
